Important Maintenance Tips to Prepare Your House for the Summer

The summer months are a time that you want to start to prepare, to get ready for all of the social gatherings that you are thinking about hosting, welcoming friends and family to your home. There are plenty of important maintenance tips to prepare for when it comes to getting your house ready for summer. This includes the simple stuff such as your gutters to your air conditioning system being addressed so that it is ready to rock once the heat rolls in. There are plenty of AC companies Orange Park FL out there, but not all of them are going to be able to deliver the quality level of service your system deserves.

The Air Conditioning Tune-Up

One of the most important maintenance tips that you can follow to prepare your home for the summer months is to have your air conditioning system get a tune-up. A tune-up is something that all AC companies Orange Park FL recommend, but it is not just because they want the business. Tune-ups are paramount for these systems as it is going to do a lot to check things such as the checking of the refrigerant levels.

Our professionals are going to review your system from top-to-bottom during the tune-up period. Consider the coils to be sure that they are clean, checking the electrical connections, can all ensure that you end up with a system that is going to work when you need it most, in the summer.

Roof Checks

Having a professional check out your roof may also make a lot of sense. Has it been inspected on an annual basis so that you know that you do not have any problems? With the rainy season rolling in, you are going to be able to proactively identify things such as small leaks and such that can be present. Cleaning the roof can also work to prevent water damage. Even a small problem with a roof can turn into a major headache when it is not properly taken care of before you end up in a mess of a situation.

Cleaning of the Gutters

The gutters of your home are something that can easily get clogged up and begin to leak water into your home. You want to clean your gutters twice a year, once in the late fall and early winter timeframe after all of the leaves fell, and then one more time in the spring and early summer. The is going to ensure that flowers, seeds, and so on are going to be cleaned out of there. Gutters need to be clear to allow water flow so that the water can be pushed properly away from your home.

Pressure Washing

Pressure washing may also make sense for the exterior of the home. You want to work to get off things such as dirt, stains, mildew build-up, and this can all be done by yourself with the assistance of a pressure washer. Be sure that you are covering things such as plants up though so you do not damage them as you are blasting the water at your home’s exterior.

There are plenty of maintenance tips that you can follow to get ready for those hot summer months. The more prepared that you are, the better off you are going to be when the heat rolls in. Check the roof, call AC companies Orange Park FL like ours to do the tune-up, be sure your windows, gutters and your whole home’s exterior is ready. The summer is a great time, but you do want to prepare for it accordingly.

Just had an entirely new, full HVAC install done at our old house in Riverside, which was a fairly big job. Brian and... Will did the installation, and were awesome. There was going to be issues leveling the air handler in the attic, so they moved it to a new spot and hung it instead, getting new parts/changing the plan on the fly. We're much happier with this new setup and location of the air handler. I really appreciated this, their professionalism/thoroughness, and flexibility. Brian and Will worked super-hard, and double-checked everything once the job was done. Would use this company again.read more

Two installers here early this morning. Worked all day. Very professional, extremely well mannered and quick to answer... all my questions. They are Dustin and Robert. Both men went above just installing my new unit, they were personable and knowledgeable in what they were doing. I was surprised when I found out these two hadn't been working that long together. They worked extremely well together. I highly recommend this two men.read more

A snake crawled into my outdoor condenser and stopped my 16 year old Trane last week on Thursday. The power surge took... out my blower unit circuit board and the motor. I called J&W and Rob was over within two hours of my call. I was spec'd a new York 17 seer system and it was up and running on Monday. Technicians Jason and Brian arrived promptly and every facet of the installation was thorough. When completed, I would not of even known they were there except they left my garage cleaner! Thanks J&W!read more
