Understanding the Importance of an Air Conditioning Tune-Up

Virtually every single home in the Jacksonville, FL area has some type of air conditioner.  The vast majority are going to have central air conditioning systems.  Some are still going to have the old-school window air conditioning units, while others may have some of the new ductless air conditioning solutions.  No matter what type of system you have, there is a great deal of importance that should be placed on air conditioning Jacksonville tune-ups.  When you can have a tune-up done on your central air conditioning system or whatever type of system you have, it can really help to keep that system running and running effectively and efficiently.

There is often a misconception in terms of what an air conditioning tune-up is actually going to be performed for.  Many people think that when you have a tune-up done on an air conditioning system, it is done because you have an issue with that system.  This is not necessarily the case.  You can have a tune-up and should have a tune-up done on your central air conditioning system via a routine maintenance schedule, usually annually.  What this is going to your system to be tended to and action taken, when necessary.

Keeping the System Clean

Air conditioning Jacksonville professionals have a long history of being able to really do wonders for a central air conditioning system, ductless system, and window units in terms of keeping them clean.  What we are going to do when one of our experts is on-site for a tune-up of your central air conditioner system is that we are going to be looking at the system from top to bottom.  We will be looking to keep the system clean across the board, cleaning up things like the ducts, changing out the filter, making sure all of the lines are free and clear of obstruction, and so on.  This is all with the goal of giving that system a chance to run efficiently and effectively.

Checking Freon Levels

In the event that you do not know, Freon is what is needed for a central air conditioning system or any air conditioner to be able to produce cold air.  You want to have your Freon levels checked on an annual basis as it is going to ensure that they are adequate for the system to create the cold air that you are looking for.  Be sure to have a professional check these levels to give you reassurance that the system will be able to perform as expected.  In the event Freon levels are low, a tune-up can lead to an easy re-charge of the system.

Identifying Issues Early

The earlier that you can identify issues with your central air conditioning system, the better.  It is best to be proactive with repairs, when necessary, rather than reactive.  Think of it like a car.  You want to get your car tuned up and fixed before it breaks down to avoid that stop in performance.  The same goes for a central air conditioning system.  When you can identify the issues early on, they can be addressed so that your central air conditioning system never has to drop off in terms of what it is delivering to you, that being cold air.

Peace of Mind

There should be a value that is placed on peace of mind when you think about air conditioning Jacksonville.  You live in a climate where it is extremely hot and humid, especially during those months of July and August.  With that said, it never hurts to have some peace of mind in knowing that your air conditioning system is going to be able to do exactly what you intended it to do when you first purchased it.  A tune-up by one of our experts is going to deliver that peace of mind so you can get through a summer cool and comfortable.
Air conditioning Jacksonville tune-ups are a great option in the event that you are an owner of an air conditioning system of any kind.  When one of our professionals is on-site for a tune-up, they will be doing a full evaluation of the system to work to identify any issues that may exist.  They will also work to be sure that the system is as clean as can be and able to perform as effectively and efficiently as you would expect it to.  Air conditioning tune-ups are a valuable service homeowners should take advantage of.

Just had an entirely new, full HVAC install done at our old house in Riverside, which was a fairly big job. Brian and... Will did the installation, and were awesome. There was going to be issues leveling the air handler in the attic, so they moved it to a new spot and hung it instead, getting new parts/changing the plan on the fly. We're much happier with this new setup and location of the air handler. I really appreciated this, their professionalism/thoroughness, and flexibility. Brian and Will worked super-hard, and double-checked everything once the job was done. Would use this company again.read more

A snake crawled into my outdoor condenser and stopped my 16 year old Trane last week on Thursday. The power surge took... out my blower unit circuit board and the motor. I called J&W and Rob was over within two hours of my call. I was spec'd a new York 17 seer system and it was up and running on Monday. Technicians Jason and Brian arrived promptly and every facet of the installation was thorough. When completed, I would not of even known they were there except they left my garage cleaner! Thanks J&W!read more
